Steps to determine cash available for immediate withdrawal

Below are the steps that we take to determine the cash available for withdrawal numbers that you see on our site:

  1. Subtract any amounts from sells made today and the previous trading day
  2. Subtract any check, EFT, or other deposits that were posted to your account that are still subject to a hold period.
  3. Subtract estimated amounts needed to pay for open securities orders.
  4. The amount left can be withdrawn via check, EFT, or wire

Please keep in mind that additional withdrawal limitations apply for certain types of accounts, such as IRAs.
